Kurt Russell, in full Kurt Vogel Russell, (born March 17, 1951, Springfield, Massachusetts, U.S.), American actor who became a child star in the 1960s, appearing in a number of Disney films, and then transitioned to a successful career as a leading man, perhaps best known for his action dramas.
The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum has inducted actor Kurt Russell into its Hall of Great Westerners this last April.
Russell has starred in multiple Westerns during his acting career. Two of his most notable Western movies are “Tombstone” and “The Hateful Eight.”
The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum’s website says Russell has been a life-long fan of the cowboy culture and characters of the American West.
“Aside from playing cowboys and iconic American heroes in Hollywood movies, he lives the real western lifestyle on his 72-acre Colorado retreat, the Home Run Ranch,” the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum wrote on its website.
